A guest lecture on “Values, Cross-Cultural Influences, Family and Society” was successfully conducted for III Semester students on 14 January 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at SDM Medical College.
The session was delivered by Dr. Bhavana and Dr. Vandana, esteemed faculty members from the Department of Community Medicine. The lecture aimed to enhance students’ understanding of core human values, the impact of cross-cultural influences, and the interrelationship between family and society in shaping individual behaviour and professional ethics.
Dr. Bhavana elaborated on the importance of values in personal and professional life, highlighting ethical principles, social responsibility, and cultural sensitivity. Dr. Vandana emphasized cross-cultural influences, family dynamics, and their role in promoting social harmony and holistic development. Real-life examples and interactive discussions made the session engaging and meaningful.
