About Our Department

The Department of Medical Surgical Nursing presently known as Department of Adult & Geriatric Nursing is one of the six departments of faculty of nursing is also one of the important and centre pillar in imparting nursing education. The Department of Adult & Geriatric Nursing provides courses related to adult nursing as well as advanced nursing practice within the framework of the curriculum of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University, Dharwad and Indian Nursing Council (INC) New Delhi.

The department is aimed at preparing graduate and post-graduate nurses in a conducive teaching and learning atmosphere to acquire appropriate knowledge and develop competencies in the field of nursing through application of evidence based practice and build their confidence in making decisions independently.

Department uses innovative practices so as to enable the graduates to inculcate service mind in delivery of quality care to their clients.
