Utkarsh 2024: Nurses Week Celebration

The SDM Institute of Nursing Sciences, in collaboration with the Department of Nursing Services, SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, celebrated Nurses Week from May 13 to May 18, 2024. The event, named Utkarsh 2024, featured a series of indoor and outdoor sports and cultural activities, with enthusiastic participation from students and nursing staff.

The celebration culminated in a grand valedictory program on May 20, 2024. Dr. Prasanna Deshpande, the In-charge Principal, welcomed the gathering. The chief guest, Dr. Kiran Hegde, Medical Superintendent of SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, delivered an inspiring speech on the crucial role of nursing care and global opportunities for nurses. Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor of SDM University, and Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan, a member of the Board of Governors of SDM University, also graced the occasion with their presence.

Smt. Manjula K. B., Nursing Superintendent, proposed the vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all participants and organizers.

Utkarsh 2024 successfully celebrated the spirit of nursing, highlighting the talents and dedication of the nursing community and reinforcing their vital contribution to the healthcare sector.
