On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the SDM Institute of Nursing Sciences, Dharwad, celebrated Laxmi Pooja with grandeur and devotion on 29th October 2024 at 10:30 AM in the institute premises. The event was organized under the guidance of the Management, Faculty, and Students of the institute and was graced by the esteemed presence of dignitaries from Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University.
The program commenced with a traditional welcome and lighting of the lamp by Dr. Prasanna S. Deshpande, I/C Principal, SDM Institute of Nursing Sciences. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Chidendra M. Shettar, Registrar, and Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, along with faculty members, students, and staff.
The Laxmi Pooja was conducted with devotion, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and prosperity for all. The event emphasized the values of unity, spirituality, and the importance of tradition in fostering a positive environment within the university community.
During his address, Dr. Niranjan Kumar highlighted the significance of Diwali as a festival of knowledge, growth, and harmony, reflecting the core mission and values of SDM University. Dr. Chidendra M. Shettar commended the efforts of the faculty and students in organizing the celebration and emphasized the importance of maintaining cultural heritage in academic settings.
