Introduction

The SDM Institute of Nursing Sciences organized an Awareness Programme on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013 at the Ishavasyam Auditorium from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The session aimed to educate faculty, staff, and students about workplace safety, legal rights, and mechanisms to address sexual harassment, thereby fostering a respectful and secure academic environment.

The programme featured Mrs. Sujata, Legal Advisor, who delivered an informative session on the legal provisions, rights, responsibilities, and complaint procedures under the POSH Act. She highlighted the role of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and institutional safeguards.
